Myself and Aidan met on a night out in Dublin in October 2013. We both hit it off straight away & starting dating and within a year I proposed to Aidan and Aidan said yes !
In the new year we began to look at wedding venues, I, being from Dublin and Aidan from Galway we decided on The Annebrook House Hotel in the heart of Co. Westmeath, as our venue, as it was in the middle between our home counties. We loved the hotel with the mixture of old and new. The Old Manor House was ours for the day.
We both had a mixture of friends & family in our wedding parties which made our day very special. We did it traditional and chose not to see each other in our suits until minutes before our wedding where we had our first touch. Our wedding Co-ordinator, Ciara arranged for us to stay on different floors and we when we saw each other for the first time it was such an amazing emotional intimate moment that we got to share together. We will never forget it.
We had our ceremony in the hotel & walked down the aisle with our mothers, our ceremony was solemnised by my cousin which made it extra special. Our theme for our wedding was rugby which I love and musicals which are Aidan’s passion. We had just under 200 guests at our wedding, we had a drinks reception followed by dinner & a band that danced us well into the night (and a flashmob or two!). All our guests said how much of an amazing day & night they had and how well the staff & management looked after us and them.
We have some amazing memories from our photographer & videographer from our big day & the Annebrook House Hotel will always be special to us.
